For the last 24 years I was lucky to have a front-row seat on the tech industry—to photograph and report on people in the industry, and the mind-bendingly complex devices they create. Much of what the tech industry builds is astonishingly tiny. More than 100 billion microscopic transistors can be squeezed onto a piece of silicon smaller than a postage stamp. Today's computer chips—and the machines and sprawling factories needed to build them—are by far the most complicated things human beings have ever made. Telling this story by creating eye-catching photographs has been both challenging and hugely fun! (Click any photo to enlarge.)
